Top Ten Procrastination Choices of the moment:

1. Go watch The Bangles music clip on Youtube.
2. Get depressed that your memory really is that bad but feel slightly better when there is actually some footage of them in ‘Egyptian’ costume in the clip.
3. Play ‘Lay Down Sally’ on the iPod and dance in the office instead of working.
4. Get aggro because dh has been in and out of the office five times in the past twenty minutes (not that he’s interrupting anything because it’s not like you’re actually working).
5. Daydream about soaking in the bathtub.
6. Point out to yourself that you don’t actually like your bathtub because it’s too shallow.
7. Daydream about deep claw-foot bathtubs.
8. Decide it must be time you waxed your legs and surely this is so important it can’t possibly wait even another moment.
9. Get a headache because you’re playing your iPod too loudly trying not to think about writing.
10. Google ‘Lay Down Sally’ to find out if it is actually Kenny Rogers singing it or not.

The answer is no. Get depressed that your hearing is that bad. Start again at Point 2. Ad infinitum. Repeat....

I’m starting to look at words I’ve spelled just fine and not know whether they’re spelled right, or whether they’re even real words, or whether they mean what I think they mean.
